Customers Invited To Recover Property From Alcovy Taxidermy – Georgia Outdoor News

The DNR and Walton County Sheriff’s Office will be on site at Alcovy Taxidermy on May 1-2.
Individuals who have entrusted Alcovy Taxidermy with their harvests and haven’t yet received their products are being welcomed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) come recover their property. Both the DNR and the WCSO have posted statements, telling the public that it can visit Alcovy Taxidermy on Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, to get take possession of their submissions.
The window for May 1 is 2-7 p.m. ET. The DNR will be there on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Neither agency is requiring customers to pick up their property. The times have been set up for those who no longer wish to do business with Alcovy Taxidermy.
The opportunity is being offered following the recent arrest of Raymond Knight, the operator of Alcovy Taxidermy, on charges of possession and manufacturing a controlled substance. Raymond was taken into custody on April 23 a little after 1 p.m. ET. He has since been released from the WCSO’s custody on bond.
According to a statement obtained by GON, that arrest might not be the extent of Raymond’s issues with law enforcement.
“The Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division, in partnership with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, recently initiated an investigation following numerous complaints regarding a taxidermy business operating in Walton County,” Mark McKinnon, Public Affairs Officer with the DNR, said. “On April 23rd, a search warrant was executed at Alcovy Taxidermy in Jersey, Georgia. Following the warrant service, the business owner agreed to return property to any customers who no longer wish to conduct business with Alcovy Taxidermy. The investigation remains active and ongoing at this time.”
Customers who wish to recover their property are asked to bring work orders, receipts and other relevant documentation. Both the DNR and the WCSO will be on site to assist said customers. Since the investigation is still open, neither law enforcement agency is able to provide further comment at this time.
