JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Brookville Borough police say more charges have been filed against a Jefferson County taxidermist who is accused of stealing from his customers.
Earlier this week, police arrested and charged 53-year-old Chad Kurtz for allegedly stealing payments and animal hides from several of his customers.
Investigators say that since his arrest, 15 new victims have come forward accusing Kurtz of accepting money and hides and then failing to deliver finished products.
With the latest charges, officials say Kurtz is now facing nearly 130 offenses for theft, deceptive business practices and receiving stolen property.
Online court records show that he is being housed in the Jefferson County Jail.
