Last fur shop to close in Madison – Wisconsin State Journal

After the business closes early next year, Madison fur owners will likely have to find storage at shops in Milwaukee or beyond. 
Fur coats can be made from not only mink, but fox, coyote, rabbit and beaver.
For most of its time in Madison, Savidusky’s Furquarters was on located at 827 E. Washington Avenue. Since 1998, the business has been in a corner of the Northgate Shopping Center, 1191 North Sherman Avenue.

Business is growing at Savidusky’s Furquarters, so it may seem like an odd time to close the store, founded in 1924 as a dry cleaners and a retailer of furs since 1940.
