GRANGEVILLE — For Jordan Monzon, taxidermy is about much more than creating a lifelike mount. It is about preserving the story behind an animal and honoring the trust a hunter places in her hands.
Monzon and her husband, Aaron, opened Packed Out Taxidermy in April at 306 N. D St. in Grangeville. The business serves hunters throughout Idaho County and surrounding communities, including White Bird, Cottonwood, Kooskia, Kamiah and Orofino. The couple also accepts work from out-of-state customers.
