'Wolf-type animals' in Preston identified as German Shepherd dogs – BBC

Three "wolf-type animals" that were roaming the streets of Lancashire have been identified as German Shepherd dogs.
They were walking around the Station Lane area of Preston at about 16:15 GMT last Thursday.
Lancashire Police officers, including specialist dog handlers, captured the three canines and took them to a "safe location".
Preston City Council said: "We can confirm the dogs were handed to our stray dog contractor and they are safely in their kennels where the vet has identified them as a German Shepherd type dog."
The council said the dogs would now be kept at the kennels to see whether they are claimed.
If not claimed, the kennels will take over the responsibility and look to rehome them.
