Dynasty star Joan Collins’ taste for the finer things in life hasn’t waned just because she no longer portrays the rich and glamorous Alexis Colby on the hit 1980s series.
The former TV star and her husband Percy Gibson were spotted while they appeared to be having a date night out in West Hollywood. Joan was dressed very stylishly, encompassing the glitziness of Hollywood with her look. Joan had her signature bold full-face glamour, which complemented the dramatic faux cat fur jacket she wore over her fashionable black ensemble. She pulled the look together with black kitten heels, a black purse, and a statement-piece necklace, styling her dark tresses in big bouncy curls.
It seems since PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals) called Joan out on their website for wearing real fur, she’s made an effort not to.
In an article that PETA published on its website in 2013, they indirectly shamed Joan and other stars for wearing animal furs in the play Legends! In the mid-1980s.

“While the original, ill-fated touring productions featured such starlets as Carol Channing, Joan Collins, Linda Evans, and Mary Martin as aging rivals parading around in furs, the PETA-friendly revival will feature Whoopi Goldberg and drag legends Charles Busch and Lypsinka in some pretty spectacular faux fur,” the article read.
Joan has come a long way since donning extravagant furs as she now is often seen in the unreal version of them. While she might be praised for making the style shift, Joan has recently found herself in hot water after attending a MAGA event this week.
The actress was dubbed a pro-MAGA patriot when she was a guest at President-elect Donald Trump’s pre-inauguration celebration with right-wing fans ahead of him being sworn in on January 20.
Joan was seen having a “lovely dinner with friends” in a picture that was shared by actor James Woods to his X, formerly Twitter, account, per The Daily Mail. Many of her fans were shocked to learn how close the pop culture icon was to Trump and other right-wing supporters, and some even shaded her for it.
However, a source revealed to The Daily Mail that there should be “no surprise at all” since Trump is one of Joan’s “closest friends.”
The source explained: “To Joan, Donald is not just a former president and soon-to-be MAGA president, but he is also one of her closest lifelong friends,' the insider began. 'She has run in his circle for 40 years and they have so much love for one another.”
