In Gothic 1 Remake, you can buy Wolf’s Claws from Mordrag near the south entrance of the Old Camp — this is the easiest method, especially if you haven’t learned the hunting skill yet. Here’s how.

Stand in front of Thoras in the Old Camp, then turn to your right and follow the linear path.
Keep walking straight along this path until you reach the south entrance of the Old Camp.
Just before the turn leading to the south gate, you’ll see Mordrag sitting outside a house. He’s the trader who sells Wolf’s Claws.
Interact with Mordrag and ask him to show you the goods.
If he refuses to show his inventory the first time, just ask him again — he will then show you what he sells.
In his inventory, look for the wolf claw item and buy it. One Wolf’s Claw is enough to unlock magic from Torrez later in the game.
Don’t ask only once — If Mordrag refuses to show his goods initially, ask again; his inventory won’t appear otherwise.
Don’t hunt wolves yet — Without the hunting skill, you can’t harvest claws from wolves, making Mordrag your only option early game.
Don’t buy more than needed — You only need 1 claw for Torrez’s magic quest, so save your ore.
Now that you have your Wolf’s Claw, head back to Torrez to unlock Rune Magic and start casting spells.
