Defeat Black Fang to Reveal the Locations of All Legendary Animals in Crimson Desert – GameRant

Black Fang is the legendary wolf in Crimson Desert who can be found in the Forest of Wolves in Hernand. You can find Black Fang after completing enough Hernand Faction Quests, but he’s going to take some tracking. As such, we’ve listed the exact map locations where we found him.
You need to kill Black Fang in Crimson Desert, as he will drop Leebur’s Soul, which is a Key Item that, when used, will permanently reveal the locations of all other Legendary Animals on the map.
As stated above, Black Fang will only spawn as part of the Hernand Faction Quests. You can find this quest under “House Celeste” with the “Silence from Afar” quest. You will only obtain this quest if you complete enough Hernand Faction Quests, not including the bounty hunts. Therefore, you should prioritise Faction Quests across Hernand until this one pops in.
Attack Level will increase the power and damage dealt by your weapons in Crimson Desert. Here’s how to increase it.
Once you arrive in the Forest of Wolves, you’re going to need to equip your Lantern and use L1 to activate it. You must now follow the golden line, but if the golden line begins to fade, simply hold your lantern out for long enough and look at the ground to strengthen the tracking.
We found the Legendary Wolf specifically in the map marked above, and we’ll have a boss guide for fighting him below. However, once you beat him for the first time, he will disappear, and you’ll be required to find and beat him for a second and final time.
For the second time, we found the Legendary Wolf in the Forest of Wolves again, this time in the eastern area of The Sage’s Peak (marked on the map above). This second fight is a bit more brutal, but luckily, there are no other wolves to deal with here.
You should always be bringing healing items to recover health in a boss battle!

Went online to try and find help on how to follow the intersecting golden lines that take you back to the start just as much as they take you to the wolf with an endlessly respawning enemy group constantly bombarding you and a self-unequipping lantern that takes about the time it takes for that endlessly respawning enemy group to…you know…respawn. As expected, the guide completely glosses over anything anyone would actually need help for.
So the boss has spawned and can’t find it anywhere. The maps don’t help. I have no idea how to find it. I’m getting more and more frustrated with these obtuse quests.
Hey man you must’ve been working some pre release knowledge because this isn’t a legendary creature you can just hunt without a quest. Also to find out about this creature you need to get 100 renown with the tanner in Calphade which causes him to sell you a note of the “Silver Fang” which I assume is just a name switch from the Black Fang from the earlier version you played. I’m currently hunting for the quest to start this hunt but I’ll try and make updates to this comment when I figure it out.
Alright update. You must do all available House Celeste quests and then a quest for Black Fang will show up. I guess there’s a Black Fang and a Silver Fang and I’m still on the hunt for the Silver Fang.
Any chance you could post a photo of your quest progress stuff? Trying to work out how I can get this questline to unlock. Help would be very appreciated!
